An Introduction to CBD Vapes

CBD, also known as cannabidiol, is a cannabinoid that occurs naturally within the hemp plant. For clarity, the hemp plant is a type of plant in the cannabis family. Cannabidiol is popular because of the therapeutic benefits that it offers. For example, it can help to alleviate symptoms that people often associate with anxiety and depression.

You can infuse CBD with various products to get the best experience. Some people decide to do it with CBD oil tinctures. Others are bigger fans of capsules and topicals like creams. Here, we’ll be focusing on using it with vape juice for vaping.

Cannabidiol (CBD) vapes are non-psychoactive CBD extract products that are gaining in popularity in Canada and throughout the world. This means that CBD does not cause the same “high” sensations that are normally associated with cannabis products. Vapes are known to be one of the most convenient and effective ways to take CBD.

Which CBD Oil is Good for Vaping?

One thing you might not know is that you can’t just put any CBD-related liquid into your vape pen and inhale away. We say this because many people often confuse hemp seed oil and CBD oil. CBD oil that can be used for vaping is an exceptional kind. It is known as CBD vape juice, and one of the best ways to vape it is with a CBD cartridge.

CBD Vape Juice

This is a special type of CBD that manufacturers make specifically for vaping. Sometimes, people refer to it as CBD vape oil in Canada. However, in reality, it doesn’t contain oil. So, the most appropriate way to refer to it is with the terms “CBD vape juice” or “CBD distillate.”

Manufacturers often use food-grade ingredients to make them. This is so that you can take them orally when you don’t want to vape. However, they’re still very different from oil-based tinctures.

You can look at the ingredients on your vape juice before you buy it for some more clarity. If it contains any other compound besides PG, CBD extract, terpenes, cannabinoids, and VG, it might not be safe for inhalation. It’s best to avoid it instead of trying to take risks.

At the very least, your CBD vape juice should say something along the lines of vaping, e-juice, vape juice, or e-liquid on the label.

CBD Cartridges

CBD vape cartridges are almost the same as THC oil cartridges. They are slim and disposable e-cigarette tanks filled with CBD e-juice. Some of them have pure CBD distillate. Manufacturers make this with CO2 or an extraction method based on solvents. These cartridges usually connect to a 510 battery and allow you to vape CBD easily. Some other cartridges, referred to as pods, are compatible with popular devices like JUUL.

What is the Right Dosage to Take?

With CBD vaping, there is no single dosage that is right for everyone. It depends on several different factors. A few of them are:

  •       The symptoms you’re trying to treat: Some people take CBD to cope with their stress, anxiety, and depression, among others. Others use the FDA-approved Epidiolex to help with symptoms relating to epilepsy and is prescribed by a doctor. If you belong to the former, you’ll need a different type of dosage. You might also have a bit of freedom to experiment a little, even though improper medicating is highly inadvisable. However, if you belong to the latter, your dosage would be different and much more controlled. More often than not, you’ll need a doctor’s supervision.
  •       Bodyweight: If you’re a larger individual, your CBD dosage would need to be a tad higher than your smaller counterparts. This could be attributed to your metabolic rate.
  •       Tolerance: Everyone processes CBD differently. If you’ve been taking CBD for a while, your body has probably developed a tolerance. So, you might need to take a bit more to meet your needs. However, if you’re not a veteran CBD user, you might not need to take more than a few milligrams. This is because your body is unaccustomed to it.

Regardless, you should keep a few things in mind. A typical vape cartridge with 100mg of CBD can give you 1-2 mg of CBD with every puff for starters. If you use a CBD tank or vape pen, you’ll take in more CBD per puff. This is entirely dependent on the device.

Having said all that, the optimal way to know your dosage is to start low and increase slowly. That is, start small and then climb up the dosage ladder from there. For example, you can begin with the smallest dosage of 1-2mg. Afterward, wait for up to six hours before you take your next dose. Then, you can increase your dosage by 5 mg on subsequent occasions.

While you’re trying to find your tolerance level, pay a lot of attention to how you feel. You might not notice it overnight or immediately. But, you should feel something. Depending on the intensity of what you feel, you can decide if a 5 mg increase is right for you. But, once you find the perfect dosage that gives the best results, keep your CBD vape pen and stick with the dosage.

Effects of CBD Vapes

  • Benefits of CBD Vapes: When people take CBD it is common to experience increased sensations of relaxation in the mind, body and soul. It is also likely to have a boost in overall wellness and mood. In addition, the best thing about CBD is that it doesn’t contain any ingredients that cause you to become intoxicated, making it great for use throughout the day. However, even though CBD doesn’t get you high, it still provides many of the benefits that cannabinoids provide.
  • Medical Uses of CBD Vapes: There are many medical uses for CBD, and new uses are being discovered all the time. Some of the most common uses for CBD include treating symptoms of:
